How long have you been in business?
Five years but have over 15 years experience in security and security products.
What is your primary product or service?
Lockdown kits for schools, colleges and businesses. Expiring visitor badges and passes for schools, colleges and businesses. Security seals and tamper resistant tapes for trucks, containers and any type of package. Emergency / survival kits and food for residential and commercial use. First aid kits.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Principal has over ten years working in Scotland as a police officer and three years as a member of a tactical firearms team, as well as many years of experience working with private security firms. Principal has been involved in the martial arts for most of his life in one form or another (over forty years and counting) and still trains in mixed martial arts (so he has extensive knowledge about personal protection).
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Extensive background covering physical and personal security. Our goal is to build an ongoing relationship with our clients: security is not a one time purchase and everything is solved. Threats are constantly changing and adapting to current solutions. We want to ensure that our clients stay informed and aware of issues that could affect them directly.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Scotsman Security Services has one central office. We follow good environmental practices at all times, preferring where possible to communicate by email and fax to reduce our carbon footprint.
