Capt. Noel, the owner, has been working tirelessly for 40 years to bring new divers into the sport. He offers scuba classes through PADI and TDI/SDI which are now one day long! The local boats allow me to dive locally instead of having to travel great distances that other shops make their students/customers do. Large assortment of equipment to choose from and never a hard sell. Although I don't fish, Orbit has a complete fishing tackle and bait shop as well.

What is your primary product or service?
Scuba diving and fishing supplies.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have been diving our local CT. waters since 1963. After finishing military and college commitments, in 1973 I decided to become a diving instructor and open up a dive retail store in Bridgeport. Fishing bait and tackle was added in 2007 after the economic downturn made it necessary to expand into another marine related business.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We not only offer Scuba diving classes every two weeks year round, but we complete the classroom and pool sessions all in one day. We also have three local boats to take students on their required dives as well as offer local diving charters for experienced divers right out of Bridgeport. This allows students and divers to dive locally as opposed to traveling to distant destinations to complete open water requirements. We also offer fishing charters as well. April through October, we're open 7 days a week. Open all year as well but with more limited hours November-March. We also have one of the largest inventory of skin and scuba diving equipment and local fishing bait and supplies.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One location, Bridgeport (Black Rock), CT. No plans to expand.

We are just over the Fairfield/Bridgeport town line in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport on Fairfield Avenue (same as Post Rd in Fairfield). We are one block on the opposite corner from locally famous Mexican Restaurant "Taco Loco."
What type of payments do you accept?
Cash, Personal checks w/ID, credit/debit cards.

Greenwich to New Haven
